Terms of service
Last updated 14 September 2026
These terms are a working draft. They will be reviewed before Arion opens to the public, and we will tell you when they change.
Who we are
Arion is run by its two founders, Rishal and Ahmad, as individuals; there is no company yet. In these terms, “we” means them and “you” means anyone using Arion. Contact us at privacy@arionresearch.xyz.
Using Arion
- You must be 18 or over.
- Give accurate details about yourself, and keep to one account per person.
- Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Arion is free while it is being built. Features may change, pause or stop, and we cannot promise it will always be available.
What you must not do
- Upload patient data or any information that identifies a patient. Arion is for published research and researcher profiles only.
- Pretend to be someone else, or claim a qualification, registration or job you do not hold.
- Upload files you do not have the right to share, such as full-text papers your licence does not let you share with collaborators.
- Try to break or get around Arion's security, scrape it, or overload it.
- Use Arion for anything unlawful, abusive or harassing.
Your content
Your reviews, uploads and profile stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only so we can run Arion for you. When you work on a review with other people, they can see what you add to it.
Your research
Arion is a tool. You are responsible for how your review is carried out, whether it meets the reporting standards you follow, and what it concludes. Nothing in Arion is medical advice.
Other services you sign in with
If you sign in with Google or link your ORCID iD, their own terms also apply to that part.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the bottom of Settings; the Privacy policy says what is deleted and what is kept. How your contributions to reviews shared with other people are handled will be set out here before shared reviews open. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Arion. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Changes and law
We will post changes to these terms here, and email you about significant ones. If you keep using Arion after a change, you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute.
